Lunch box: Wednesday, 28 August 2013

What a wet and miserable day in Cape Town! It's cold and raining - perfect weather for staying under the covers, but us mere mortals (especially those with fancy shoe addictions) need to go to work. But on the bright side I have a warm lunch tucked away in my lunch box to sustain me for the day.
 

As always there is a bit of cheat here: we bought the Creamy Butternut Soup from Woolworth's (sometimes it's just quicker to buy something than prepare it from scratch!). Added is some Tikka Chicken Strips (to be used as chicken 'croutons' in the soup), carrots and hummus and green grapes.

Not bad for a work lunch that doesn't costs a fortune! Now let's hope that it will last until lunch time...
