Choc-Cip Banana Bread

Banana Choc Chip Bread

I love banana bread and I love baking different ones. I saw these pretty big dark chocolate buttons and just had to include them instead of my usual Choc CHip Banana Bread. I love these spread with a big helping of Lurpak butter!

What you need

  • 3 Over ripe Bananas
  • 100g butter, at room temperature
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 Cup Raw Sugar
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla Essence
  • 1 Cup Large Chocolate Melts or chocolate chips
  • 2 1/2 Cups Plain Flour
  • 2 Tsp Baking Powder
What to do:

  1. In a large bowl add the spread and bananas and mash it with a fork.
  2. Adding the eggs, raw sugar and vanilla essence.
  3. With a whisk combine all the ingredients really well.
  4. Add the plain flour and baking powder.
  5. Mix until the flour is just combined.
  6. Add the chocolate and mix lightly.
  7. Spoon into a lined 20cm x 10cm loaf tin.
  8. Place 5 chocolate melts on top and bake in a preheated 180 degree Celcius oven for 30-40 minutes or until lightly golden and it bounces back when touched.
  9. Allow to cool before slicing.
  10. Enjoy!
