The Pot Luck Club in Woodstock

Hubby and I have officially shared 10 years together. A decade. It sounds so long but 10 years just flies when you are having fun. To add to the fun we visited the Pot Luck Club in Woodstock. It is from the same Chef Luke Dale Roberts that is famous for The Test Kitchen.

The menu works a bit different, it is made up of a selection of sharing plates and for two people 6 to 8 plates are recommended. The divide it up between Salty, Sweet, Umami, Sour and Bitter with dessert. The food was amazing. This is what we had:

Sesame crusted salmon, doenjang mayo and pickled cucumber.

The Pot Luck Club Fish sliders made with a steamed bun and crispy fish.

Peri-Peri prawns, chive beurre blanc and herb salad.

Pot luck corndog, apple mustard and harissa mayo. This is not what you expect, rather more of a croquette, but still tasty as hell.

Smoked beef fillet with black pepper and truffle Cafe au Lait sauce (the best bloody sauce ever and used as a dip for:) the chickpea fries (made with goats cheese I think) with aioli and tomato ketchup.

Beef tataki, hoisin dressing, coriander pesto and ponzu mayo.
The crispy sweet potato fries are so good!

Hazelnut and apple tart, salted caramel and smoked cinnamon ice cream. This is a new addition to the menu and was AMAZING. I was so full but was easily able to demolish half of this tart. The ice cream is really amazing!

Chocolate cigar, saffron poach quince, manjari and granadilla mousse with pistachio ice cream.

We almost didn't make it to the car as we were so stuffed. We should have sticked to just 6 but with the food tasting so good, we couldn't stop trying some of the other dishes! This is definitely a restaurant to try.
