Chocolate Brownies

Everyone loves chocolate but sometime you REALLY NEED chocolate. You want some quickly and not necessarily a whole cake. So your best option is a small batch of gooey brownies. It's difficult to really distinguish between most recipes for brownies. They all have the same ingredients, but it depends on your cooking time. Here is the big secret: only cook it long enough to bake the outside but keep it gooey in the middle. Remember it still keeps on cooking for a bit while it cools down!

What you need:

  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup butter melted, then cooled
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

What to do:

  1. Preheat oven to 170C.
  2. Sift together all dry ingredients.
  3. Melt butter and set aside to cool slightly.
  4. In a medium bowl, beat two eggs with the vanilla.
  5. Add in and gently stir dry ingredients.
  6. Pour the melted butter into brownie mixture and mix until just incorporated.
  7. Spread batter in a prepared 8-inch square pan and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  8. Allow to cool, cut and Enjoy!
