Choc-Cip Banana Bread
I love banana bread and I love baking different ones. I saw these pretty big dark chocolate buttons and just had to include them instead of my usual Choc CHip Banana Bread. I love these spread with a big helping of Lurpak butter!
What you need
- 3 Over ripe Bananas
- 100g butter, at room temperature
- 2 Eggs
- 1/2 Cup Raw Sugar
- 1 Tsp Vanilla Essence
- 1 Cup Large Chocolate Melts or chocolate chips
- 2 1/2 Cups Plain Flour
- 2 Tsp Baking Powder
What to do:
- In a large bowl add the spread and bananas and mash it with a fork.
- Adding the eggs, raw sugar and vanilla essence.
- With a whisk combine all the ingredients really well.
- Add the plain flour and baking powder.
- Mix until the flour is just combined.
- Add the chocolate and mix lightly.
- Spoon into a lined 20cm x 10cm loaf tin.
- Place 5 chocolate melts on top and bake in a preheated 180 degree Celcius oven for 30-40 minutes or until lightly golden and it bounces back when touched.
- Allow to cool before slicing.
- Enjoy!
