Melkhout Guest Farm Swellendam

One of the cutest places we've stayed at. Right next to the river and on a working farm. Each plot has a deck with a view of the river with a shaded table and a private bathroom. It gets glorious morning sun but also has trees for a shaded space to camp.

Having a private bathroom is a must. It has a toilet and a walk-in shower. It has fresh eucalyptus in the shower which smells amazing! 

The deck is set up as a breakfast spot, pay spot and has a light for cozy dinners as well and a spot to view the river for breakfast coffee or late-night drinks when the kids have gone to bed.

The pros to a working farm are fresh milk, butter and bread when you check in which is complementary. The cons...so close to farm animals is flies to plan accordingly.
