Koningskop, Citrusdal
Koningskop is one our favourite places to camp, it's right next to a dam in the middle of the citrus capital. It is only a couple of hours away and fantastic in the summer.
You camp on grass, with electricity and abolitions provided. There is a Supertubes for some grownup fun and cottages for those who don't want to camp. In summertime they'll even bring out a slip 'n slide for some added fun.
It also has a bar and restaurant (that makes the best pizzas and gin and tonic with fresh mandarins is sublime) and a TV for the rugby. It also means you don't have to make lunch and dinner every night.
During the drought or when rain is limited (usually after a brutal summer) the dam might be low but they added a swimming pool on the edge of the dam as well. But be warned the water can be freezing!
